The phonemaker Motorola has named Sergio Buniac as its new president and chairman. He replaces Aymar de Lencquesaing, who is stepping down to spend more time with his family.
Buniac has over 20 years of service at Motorola. Most recently he lead the company's business in Latin America, where Motorola ranks second in the phone market. He previously worked as the regional sales director for America Movil and lead the Strategic Planning and Companion Products businesses for the Americas region. Before Motorola, he held leadership positions at IBM and Booz Allen Hamilton.
Motorola also announced that it will be announcing its first new products of the year next month.
