
Russian and CIS mobile operator MTS reported that its consolidated subscriber base reached 97.51 million in the second quarter of 2013, up by 6.52 percent year-on-year and up by 0.94 percent quarter-on-quarter. The figure was 71.68 million in Russia, up by 3 percent year-on-year and up by 0.49 percent quarter-on-quarter. In Ukraine, it had 21.59 million customers, up by 9.93 percent year-on-year and up by 2.81 percent quarter-on-quarter.
The figure reached 2.36 million in Armenia, up by 2.16 percent year-on-year but down by 0.84 percent quarter-on-quarter. The subscriber base dropped by 0.52 percent quarter-on-quarter to 1.88 million in Turkmenistan. In Belarus, the number of customers rose 4.78 percent year-on-year and by 0.38 percent quarter-on-quarter to 5.26 million.
