Nokia offers Ovi Store concept for Orange, Deutsche Telekom

Nokia has launched its Ovi Store operator application store concept for mobile operators Orange and Deutsche Telekom. The 'store-in-a-store' solution provides operators with a familiar branded channel on Ovi Store and an operator billing aid. Designed to provide operators with ways to differentiate, distribute and compete, Nokia's programme allows these enterprises to create their own applications and services with tools such as connectors, Ovi App Wizard and a set of application programming interfaces, including free cloud social and location APIs. These operators can also utilise marketing, promotional and content spotlight opportunities inside Ovi Store to promote applications and content along with access to the operator application store from the Ovi Store's mobile home page experience. European operators receive targeted channels for added customer relevance. Nokia plans to extend the concept to other markets internationally.
