O2 Germany launches IPTV service with Waipu.tv

O2 Germany said it will launch its own TV service from 02 May, working with the OTT provider Waipu.tv. The service starts at EUR 4.99 monthly.  

O2 IPTV is available without a contract, and existing O2 customers receive the first month free. The service offers more than 100 TV channels, the majority of them in HD quality. Features includes a large recording memory, and the possibility to watch up to four programmes at the same time. Customers can stream without limit in combination with an O2 my Home or O2 Free tariff, thanks to the company's offer of unlimited data at 1 Mbps after using up the mobile data allowance. 

O2 IPTV also makes available the on-demand offers of Filmtastic, Netzkino, Mypass and Movies. Customers can purchase the O2 TV L tariff with over 100 channels, 70 in HD, four programs to watch at the same time and 100 hours of recording memory for EUR 9.99 per month, or EUR 4.99 for O2 mobile and DSL customers on XL, L or M boost plans. The Sky Entertainment Ticket is included free for three months for customers who sign up by 30 September.

The O2 TV M tariff with over 100 channels, 70 in HD, four programs to watch at the same time, and 100 hours of recording memory costs EUR 8.99 monthly, and the O2 TV S plan with over 80 channels, two programs to watch at the same time and 25 hours of recording memory costs EUR 4.99 monthly.
