While the phone comes with a wide range of top specifications, the 5.5-inch Amoled screen still is only Full HD, while other manufacturers have adopted QHD/2K. The metal casing on the new phone resembles the iPhone 7, and the OnePlus 5 also comes with a double camera on the back.
The phone runs Qualcomm's top processor, the Snapdragon 835, and users can choose from 6 GB with 64 GB internal memory or 8 GB with 128 GB storage. The Android 7.1 phone comes with the Oxygen OS from OnePlus, and the company hinted the phone will get an update later this year to Android 8.0.
The camera comes with sensors produced by Sony and includes 16- and 20-megapixel lenses on the back and a 16-megapixel camera on the front. Other notable details include the 3.5mm headphones jack, something other manufacturers are getting rid of, and a 3,300 mAh battery, slightly smaller than the OnePlus 3T.
The OnePlus 5 will go on sale in two weeks from the company's website. Pre-sales start now, also with selected carriers, and early orders will be delivered sooner.
