The new developer support programme is a continuation of the Gravity Plan rolled out last year at the company’s ODC 2108 event. Since then, the plan has provided resources for more than 2,000 applications, resulting in 9.2 billion impressions and more than 180 million downloads, said Oppo, adding that it’s looking to provide sustained and all-round support to partners in the fields of applications, services, content and global development.
The so-called “Five System-level Capability Exposure Engines” project, meanwhile, is designed to help developers improve Oppo’s system level capabilities including Hyper Boost, Link Boost, CameraUnit, MediaUnit and ARUnit with a view to giving users a smoother and quicker experience.
Finally, Oppo said the new IoT Enablement Plan is aimed at opening its HeyThings IoT protocol, HeyThings IoT service platform and audio connectivity protocol to IoT partners. The newly-upgraded HeyThings IoT service platform is expected to be deployed through the open platform in the first quarter, while the first phase of the audio connectivity protocol is expected to be in service in June 2020, said Oppo.
