Orange has acquired 100 percent of the SecureData group for an undisclosed amount. The UK-based company provides managed cybersecurity services to private and public sector customers, as well as consultancy services via its subsidiary SensePost. The acquisition will support the growth of the Orange Cyberdefense division in Anglophone countries and in the UK, which represents the largest Western European market for managed security services.
One of Europe's largest independent security service providers, SecureData recorded revenues of circa EUR 50 million in 2018 and has achieved annual growth rates of around 20 percent since 2016. It has a workforce of 220 employees, based in the UK and South Africa, and owns a Security Operations Centre (SOC) located in the English town of Maidstone.
