Panasonic eyes European smartphone market - report
Panasonic is planning to launch Android smartphones in Europe, North America and Asia, writes the Nikkei. The paper said that Panasonic Mobile Communications was in talks with a major mobile operator in Europe about selling the smartphones, which will be assembled at a group plant in SE Asia or by a third party. Panasonic is looking to sell 7.5 million mobile phones overseas in FY 2015. The company withdrew from the European mobile phone market in FY 2005 in the face of intense price competition.
