Qtel pledges investment in Tunisia
Qtel chairman Abdullah Bin Mohammed Bin Saud Al-Thani met with Tunisian Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali to discuss the Qatari company's investments in the company. Also present at the meeting were a number of ministers, Qtel CEO Nasser Marafih and Tawfik Jelassi, chairman of local mobile operator Tunisiana, in which Qtel subsidiary Wataniya holds 75 percent. Qtel pledged to continue its investment in Tunisia. According to local media reports, the PM said the government plans to soon launch a tender for 3G licences.

Qtel appoints Campbell as CEO of Tunisiana

Qtel Group announced that Yves Gaultier is leaving his post as CEO of Tunisian mobile operator Tunisiana. He will be succeeded on 15 November by Kenneth Campbell. Campbell, a veteran global telecom executive, came from his most recent role of CEO at Wind Mobile, Canada, and will report to the Qtel Group CEO Nasser Marafih. Gaultier assumed the role of CEO of Tunisiana at start-up in 2007.

Qtel looks to increase Tunisiana stake

Qatar Telecom will increase its stake in Tunisian mobile operator Tunisiana beyond the 75 percent it currently holds, its director Abdullah Al Thani said.
