
Qtel pledges investment in Tunisia

Qtel chairman Abdullah Bin Mohammed Bin Saud Al-Thani met with Tunisian Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali to discuss the Qatari company's investments in the company. Also present at the meeting were a number of ministers, Qtel CEO Nasser Marafih and Tawfik Jelassi, chairman of local mobile operator Tunisiana, in which Qtel subsidiary Wataniya holds 75 percent. Qtel pledged to continue its investment in Tunisia. According to local media reports, the PM said the government plans to soon launch a tender for 3G licences.
