Rakuten Mobile eliminates number portability, contract sign-up fees

Rakuten Mobile has announced its ‘Zero Declaration’ initiatives to attract new customers. In addition to already offering SIM exchange and re-issue free of charge since 12 October, Rakuten Mobile will also make contract sign-up and mobile number portability transfer free of charge, starting 4 November. 

Un-Limit V service plan updated to Rakuten Un-Limit V 2.0

Rakuten Mobile launched its Un-Limit V service plan on 30 September, offering unlimited data within the Rakuten network areas, and 5G service when in the 5G service areas and with a 5G-compatible device for no additional fees. The service plan also offers unlimited domestic calls and messages and unlimited calls and messages from overseas to Japan when using the Rakuten Link app for a monthly fee of JPY 2,980. With the announcement of the Zero Declaration, the service plan has also been updated to Rakuten Un-Limit V 2.0.

Un-Limit V promo to attract new customers

Rakuten Mobile will launch a campaign for Rakuten Un-Limit V users, offering up to 28,000 Rakuten Points to new customers. The campaign will run online until 1 December. New customers who subscribe during this period for a Rakuten Un-Limit V contract will receive 8,000 Rakuten Points for a SIM contract, and up to 20,000 Rakuten Points for purchasing an applicable smartphone as well.
