RTL Group plans to merge United Screens, Divimove and Dutch RTL MCN

RTL Group said that it will merge its digital video business in the Nordic region, United Screens, with its Berlin-based digital video company Divimove and the Dutch RTL MCN into one entity. 

Tobias Schiwek will continue as CEO of Divimove while leading the integration of Divimove, United Screens and RTL MCN. Schiwek will report to the RTL Group's executive committee. Natalie Tidestrom Heidmark will continue to serve as CEO of United Screens, reporting to Schiwek. 

RTL Group has also approved a growth plan for Divimove, foreseeing revenues doubling to more than EUR 100 million by 2022. Through the combination, Divimove aims to become a leading digital studio in Europe and home for digital content creators, representing more than 1,000 talents in nine European countries and which currently generates 3.2 billion online video views per month, the company said.

Cologne-based Norddeich TV was founded in 2004. It currently produces shows and docusoaps including "Ninja Warrior Germany", "Hotel of the Hearts", "Llambis Tanzduell" and "The Puppies Come - with Martin Rutter ". RTL Group revenues rise over 7% in Q1, boosted by organic growth, VoD platforms in Germany, Netherlands

RTL Group reiterated its full year guidance after reporting strong revenue growth in the first quarter, boosted by organic gains, Fremantle and Digital (MPNs & SpotX), as well as subscriber additions for the company's VoD platforms in Germany and the Netherlands. NENT announces animated children's original production 'Fixi in Playland'

Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT) has announced an original production called 'Fixi in Playland', a children's series that mixes animation with virtual reality (VR). The Fixi character will appear in the new series and as a virtual guide to the children's section of the Viaplay streaming service. 'Fixi in Playland' is the first production from NENT's StudioV virtual entertainment studio and will premiere exclusively on Viaplay in the Nordic region in autumn 2019.

RTL Group reaches 27.3% market share in February among viewers aged 14-59

German broadcaster RTL Group said it reached a monthly market share of 27.3 percent in February among people aged between 14 to 59 years old. The RTL channel itself recorded a monthly market share of 10.3 percent among viewers aged 14 to 59 years old, ahead of ZDF (8.3%), ARD (8.1%), Sat.1 (7.8%), ProSieben (7.6%), VOX (6.5%), Kabel 1 (5.1%) and RTL II (4.0%).
