Samsung announced that more than 100 million apps have been downloaded from its app store. The Samsung App Store was launched in June 2010 on the Samsung Wave phone. The operator achieved 10 million downloads in the first three months of the service. The store now offers 13,000 apps, a six-fold increase since its opening. The most popular apps include Magic Torch, Need for Speed Shift and Asphalt 5, as well as transport and navigation apps. The most apps have been downloaded in France, while Spain and Germany are also at the top of the list. The three countries account for 40 percent of all apps downloaded on the store.
