Samsung to launch LTE smartphone in US in September
Samsung will launch an LTE mobile phone in the US in September, reports Yonhap. US mobile operator MetroPCS Wireless will distribute the Samsung Craft SCH-R900, said Samsung spokesman Shin Young-jun. Samsung's upcoming phone will use LTE networks for data transmission and the 3G CDMA network for telephone calls, according to the company.

AT&T prepares LTE launch for mid-2011

AT&T aims to cover 70-75 million people with a LTE network by the end of 2011. The US carrier is testing LTE in Dallas and Baltimore and expects to be able to launch commercially by the middle of next year, said John Stankey, who heads AT&T's Business Solutions unit and oversees its networks.
