SK, KT, Uplus win spectrum licenses in South Korea
South Korean operator SK Telecom has won a tender for two spectrum lots to provide faster and broader data services, Yonhap news agency reports, citing a statement by the country’s Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning. The Ministry said SK Telecom won a pair of blocks in the 2.6 GHz band for KRW 950 billion (approximately USD 832 million) and KRW 327 billion, respectively.
