Sky has launched a new broadband package in the UK called Sky Broadband Ultrafast. Available to over 2 million UK homes, Sky Broadband Ultrafast offers average download speeds of 145 Mbps or 285 Mbps depending on the selected product.
The Sky Broadband Ultrafast 1 plan (145 Mbps) is being offered for GBP 39 per month for 18 months, with the Ultrafast 2 package (285 Mbps) costing GBP 49 per month. There is also a GBP 34.95 upfront upgrade fee for existing customers. Availability for Sky Broadband Ultrafast 1 and 2 will be rolled out across the UK during 2019 and 2020.
The faster speeds follow Sky signing a new wholesale deal with Openreach at the end of last year. To date, Sky offered a choice of two broadband speeds, Essential at an average 11 Mbps and Superfast at an average 59 Mbps.
