Sony buys OnLive assets
Sony is acquiring the main assets and patents of streaming games service OnLive. As a result, the OnLive service will end 30 April, the company announced on its website. No financial details of the takeover were disclosed. Started in 2010, OnLive was acquired by the investment group Lauder Partners in 2012. It claimed then to have 1.75 million users.

Sony starts Spotify on PlayStation Music

Sony has launched its online TV service Playstation Vue in the US. The service is initially available in Chicago, Philadelphia and New York City, for prices starting at USD 50 per month. OnLive launches CloudLift service, OnLive Go business line

Online gaming services provider OnLive has launched its CloudLift subscription service, as part of a major update to the OnLive Game Service. OnLive loses CEO

The founder of OnLive, a cloud-based video games service, has left the firm, the BBC reported. A statement said Steve Perlman had stepped down as chief executive "to work on his myriad of other projects". The news comes just over a week after he sold the firm's assets to a venture capital firm, wiping out its investors' stakes and its staff's share rights. BT expects to write off investment in OnLive

BT believes it will have to write off its investment in online gaming services provider OnLive. A company spokesperson told TechRadar that a write-off was 'highly likely', but stressed that its 2.6 percent stake in OnLive did not constitute a significant investment. US cloud gaming specialist OnLive has selected Luxembourg for its European operations expansion.
