Sony unveils Xperia C5 Ultra, Xperia M5 smartphones

Sony Mobile has announced two new smartphones - the Xperia C5 Ultra and Xperia M5. Tony McNulty, Vice-President, Value Category Business Management at Sony Mobile Communications, said the new devices highlighted the company's advances in camera technology. The Xperia C5 Ultra is promoted as the all new PROselfie smartphone with two 13-megapixel cameras (front and rear) and near borderless 6-in full HD display. The phone is available in three colours - black, white and glossy mint. It also has a 1.7 GHz 64 bit octa-core processor with 2GB RAM and 4G network support. 

The Xperia M5 has a 21.5-megapixel rear camera, 13-megapixel front-facing selfie camera, and waterproof design. It also has a 2,600mAh battery offering up to two-days battery life and a 64-bit 2.0 GHz octa-core processor powered by the MediaTek Helio X10 with 3GB RAM. The new smartphones will be available in selected countries across emerging markets from mid-August.
