T-Mobile to launch 4G in mid-November in Netherlands
T-Mobile Netherlands announced it will launch its LTE services on 18 November. 4G will initially be available in the greater Amsterdam area, Rotterdam, Utrecht and parts of The Hague for all consumer and business customers, including prepaid, mobile broadband and MTV Mobile users.

T-Mobile estimates that around 100,000 customers will have access to the LTE network in the 1800 MHz band, including data speeds of 30-50 Mbps. This is based on existing customers with compatible phones. T-Mobile said it's offering 4G access free to all customers, but the maximum speed will depend on how much data they have in their plans. Customers on its Stel Samen and Samengesteld plans with 250-500 MB can expect up to 15Mbps, plans of 1-2 GB receive up to 30 Mbps, and customers with 5GB will receive the top speed of up to 50 Mbps. On the iSmart plans, 30 Mbps is available with the 1 and 1.75 GB plans, and 50 Mbps with the 2GB plan.

The LTE launch is part of the operator's broader network upgrade plan, called 'Achieving more together' (Samen meer bereiken). In addition to its 2x30 MHz in the 1,800 MHz band for LTE, T-Mobile is using the 900MHz band to develop HSPA services.
