T-Mobile US tests Enhanced Voice Services
T-Mobile US announced that it's started testing Enhanced Voice Services (EVS). The voice technology improves call reliability in areas with a weaker signal, helping reduce the rate of dropped calls. EVS also provides even higher-fidelity calls than HD Voice, already introduced by T-Mobile in 2013. EVS uses a broader audio frequency range, which translates to richer, more realistic-sounding voice audio. Compared to HD Voice, EVS also offers broader coverage, working on both Wi-Fi and LTE and regardless of whether the call recipient had a compatible device. 

T-Mobile is testing its own patent-pending deployment of EVS, using the LG G5 smartphone and Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Plus. More EVS phones should be available by the end of the year.

T-Mobile USA start tests met Enhanced Voice Services

De Amerikaanse tak van T-Mobile is gestart met het testen van Enhanced Voice Services (EVS). De spraaktechnologie moet de kwaliteit van telefoongesprekken verhogen in gebieden met een zwak signaal. VoLTE used for a third of T-Mobile US calls

Around 33 percent of voice calls over the T-Mobile US network are transmitted using VoLTE technology, CTO Neville Ray told Fierce Wireless. The operator launched VoLTE in May 2014 in Seattle. T-Mobile US has launched video calling for its mobile customers.
