Tele2 announced at its latest quarterly report in July that the roll-out is progressing steadily, but has yet to give any exact coverage figures or announce a launch date. The company has said it's improving processes to accelerate the roll-out of the network.
The measurements show that the network is available in not only the Randstad, but also in large parts of Zeeland, North Brabant, Limburg and Flevoland provinces and along the major A roads. Tele2 has a site-sharing agreement with T-Mobile for the 4G roll-out and is using frequencies in the 800 and 2,600 MHz bands. Thanks to the combination of high and low spectrum the operator is able to realise extensive coverage and capacity in a relatively short period of time.

Telecompaper expects Tele2 to launch services in late 2014 or early 2015, becoming the country's fourth network operator. The operator is expected to have nationwide coverage immediately at launch. In addition, it still has a MVNO agreement for roaming on the 2G and 3G networks of T-Mobile.
