
Telkomsel launches Google Free Zone

Indonesian mobile operator Telkomsel has launched Google Free Zone. The service offers access to select Google services on internet-enabled mobile phones without any data charges. The first page of a website linked from Google Search results is also provided at no data cost. The service was developed by Google to target emerging mobile markets and is currently available in the Philippines via Globe Telecom, South Africa via 8ta, and now in Indonesia via Telkomsel.
