Tricom launches LTE network in Dominican Republic

Dominican Republic operator Telecable de Tricom has commercially launched LTE services on the local market.  The network will initially cover the Distrito Nacional, the Santiago metropolitan area and the Dominican Republic’s largest cities, to be gradually expanded across the country by year-end.

Customers can access Tricom’s 4G LTE network using a USB modem or MiFi device, in combination with prepay or postpaid data tariffs. Huawei powered Tricom’s LTE network deployment.
