UPC Austria activates Wi-Free network nationwide
UPC Austria has confirmed the nationwide launch of the Wi-Free service following a successful pilot project with around 15,000 customers in Graz over the summer. Around 475,000 UPC internet customers across Austria are now part of the Wi-Free shared Wi-Fi network community. UPC has upgraded the home WLANs of internet customers with a software update. The Wi-Free network supports download and upload speeds of up to 10 Mbps and 2 Mbps respectively.

UPC Austria to publish weekly customer rating

UPC Austria announced plans to update weekly its customer satisfaction rating on its website. The score is based on about 10,000 customer ratings per month, conducted by partner Medallia. Over the past four weeks, customers rated UPC's services with 8.4 out of 10 possible points. The customer satisfaction surveys have been carried out on a regular basis since 2013. UPC Austria offers internet at up to 150 Mbps for EUR 9.90

UPC Austria is running a spring promotion offering all internet bundles with speeds at up to 250 Mbps for EUR 9.90 during the first three months of the contract. The offer is available to new subscribers until the end of April. The UPC Fibre Power Packs all include unlimited fixed telephony.

UPC Austria to take over Kabel-TV Stadl-Paura's network

UPC Austria announced an expansion in its cable network with the takeover from the start of this month of the Kabel-TV Stadl-Paura network in the municipality of Welsland. It will integrate the network in the spring. Customers have been informed and will be switched over in 2016. The new customers will benefit from multimedia services including internet speeds of up to 250 Mbps, TV services as well as fixed-line and mobile telephony.

UPC Austria is expanding its product development with crowdtesting. This will allow interested customers to test new products and services before their market launch and provide feedback for UPC for further development. UPC rolls out Wi-Free service in Austria

UPC Austria has confirmed plans to offer all its internet customers free internet access on the go with Wi-Free. This follows a successful pilot project in Graz. UPC Czech Republic launched the service Wi-Free for all customers using the operator's internet service.
