
Verizon Wireless to pay out USD 8.5 bln to shareholders

Verizon Wireless' board of representatives has declared distributions totaling USD 8.5 billion to its owners, Verizon Communications and Vodafone Group. The pay-out will occur on or prior to 31 December. The distributions will be paid in one or more tranches, with each tranche paid in proportion to the owners' stakes in the company. The mobile operator is a joint venture between Verizon Communications, which owns 55 percent and Vodafone Group, which owns 45 percent.
