Vodafone is launching new products from Microsoft for its business customers in Europe. The offering is part of a new, five-year strategic deal between Vodafone Business and Microsoft to support small and medium-sized businesses across Europe in their digital transformation.
Under the new contract, which builds on an existing partnership, Vodafone’s customers will have direct access to Microsoft 365, Teams Phone System and Microsoft Azure. As part of the agreement, the companies will collaborate to deliver new offerings in areas such as multi-access edge computing and the IoT, bringing the benefits of 5G and mobile private networks to customers.
The first area of collaboration is mixed reality. Customers will be able to use Vodafone Business’ dedicated edge computing services with Microsoft’s software and HoloLens 2 headset to develop virtual collaboration and development systems, allowing remote employees to work and train together.
