Vodafone Germany develops LTE Wi-Fi stick for cars

Vodafone Germany has developed a new LTE Wi-Fi stick for cars as part its connected vehicle strategy. It is launching a field test with selected drivers of Taxi Berlin. The LTE stick creates an in-vehicle WLAN for mobile internet access, and can support up to 10 connected devices simultaneously. The device is charged through the cigarette lighter fitting in the vehicle, but also comes with an adapter for charging through domestic plug sockets. Vodafone will present the LTE Wi-Fi stick at CeBIT.
