Vodafone Italia launches new fibre offer with Sky Online 
Vodafone Italia has launched a new fibre offering to take advantage of the agreement reached last month with Sky Italia. The new Vodafone Super Fibra plan includes broadband at speeds of up to 300 Mbps where available (Milan and Bologna), unlimited calls to Italian landlines, 1 GB of mobile data per month plus the Sky Online TV internet TV service, for EUR 25 per month for the first 12 months. Sky Online offers nine channels accessible via connected TVs, PCs, tablets and game consoles, and 12 months’ access would normally cost EUR 119, said Vodafone.

Vodafone Italia invests EUR 8.7 mln in Messina FTTC rollout

Vodafone Italia has launched its fibre-optic service in Messina, the third largest city on the island of Sicily. The operator invested a total of EUR 8.7 million in the expansion of its FTTC network, promising download speeds of up to 100 Mbps and upload speeds of 20 Mbps. At the end of November, Vodafone had expanded its fibre broadband services to 144 Italian cities while its 4G network reached 5,400 Italian localities, or 92 percent of the population.

Vodafone Italia announced an agreement with Ferrara city council to significantly expand the rollout of its fibre-optic service in the northern Italian city by the end of March 2016. Vodafone Italia has launched its bring fibre-optic service in the northern Italian city of Varese, promising download speeds of up to 100 Mbps and upload speeds of 20 Mbps. Over a third of Italian homes without fast broadband in 2018

Well over a third (36.3 percent) of Italian households will still lack a superfast broadband connection in 2018, according to the results of a public consultation launched by the government's investment arm Infratel. Vodafone Italia told to take down fastest fibre in Italy ad

Italy's self-regulatory advertising watchdog, IAP, has ordered Vodafone Italia to withdraw an advertising campaign claiming it offered "the fastest fibre in Italy" on the grounds that it breaches the code of conduct on comparative advertising and is misleading. The IAP's ruling upheld complaints lodged by Telecom Italia, Fastweb and Wind about the misleading nature of the campaign, having submitted evidence proving that Vodafone's 300 Mbps was only available in some areas of Milan and Bologna.
