Vodafone Italia is finally set to launch its low-cost service to compete with the recent arrival of Iliad and has chosen the name “Ho” for the brand, reports La Repubblica. The name apparently derives from the brand’s “Ho tutto chiaro” (“All is clear to me”) slogan and the operator has already activated a dedicated website and created a company called Vei SRL with a general licence for full MVNO services to manage Ho’s activities and mobile number portings.
No specific launch dates or prices have yet been revealed although the report indicates that Ho will compete with Iliad and Telecom Italia’s Kena Mobile brand with a voice, messaging and data bundle priced at around EUR 7, just EUR 1 a month more than Iliad’s launch offer.
