VodafoneZiggo presents new logo, management board

VodafoneZiggo has started introducing its new identity and logo, combining the names of the two companies. The Ziggo and Vodafone brands will also continue to be used separately.

The new entity employs nearly 8,000 employees. Offices are located in Amsterdam, Utrecht, Maastricht, Heerhugowaard, Leeuwarden, Groningen, Zwolle, Zutphen, Nijmegen, Helmond, Eindhoven, Rotterdam, The Hague and Rijswijk.

VodafoneZiggo is run by CEO Jeroen Hoencamp and CFO Ritchy Drost. Other board members are Robin Kroes (Strategy), Marcel de Groot (Consumer market), John van Vianen (Business market), Anja Maassen van den Brink (HR), Ruben Uppelschoten (Customer Operations), Eben Albertyn (Technology), Barbara Jongerden (Legal & Regulatory) and Marieke Dekker (External Affairs).

The Supervisory Board includes eight members, two of whom will be nominated by the Works Council.

VodafoneZiggo to close eight offices

Dutch operator VodafoneZiggo announced plans to shut a number of offices, as part of the integration of the Vodafone and Ziggo activities. Its footprint will be reduced to nine sites from 17, with the restructuring resulting in the loss of around 80 jobs. VodafoneZiggo employs in total around 9,000 people.

VodafoneZiggo has introduced its first offer for customers taking both fixed and mobile services from the operator. Vodafone Netherlands sees customer numbers, ARPU fall in Q3

Vodafone Netherlands reported service revenues of EUR 416 million in its fiscal third quarter to December, down 6.4 percent from a year earlier. Vodafone blamed the drop on fewer customers and increased competition on the business market. Ziggo to keep 6 shops open

Ziggo is keeping six of its shops open, the company said. Last year it launched 'shop-in-shops' at Media Markt outlets, giving it a national retail footprint. As a result seven of the 13 Ziggo shops closed just before Christmas, in cities such as Almere, Zwolle and Dordrecht. It's not yet known what the impact will be on the retail footprint from the company's recently completed merger with Vodafone Netherlands.

Liberty Global and Vodafone completed their 50:50 joint venture before the end of 2016, calling the new company VodafoneZiggo Group Holding.
