Wileyfox launches new Windows smartphone

UK-based smartphone maker Wileyfox has launched its new smartphone running Windows 10 Mobile. The Wileyfox Pro is available for pre-order on Amazon.co.uk for GBP 189.99 and will ship from 04 December. 

The phone was first unveiled at the IFA show in September and targets business users seeking integration with Microsoft services. The Wileyfox Pro features a 5-inch full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor, 2GB RAM, 2,100mAh battery, 8MP rear camera and 2MP front camera.

De Britse smartphonefabrikant Wileyfox brengt begin december de Wileyfox Pro uit, de eerste smartphone van Wileyfox die draait op het Windows 10 Mobile besturingssysteem. Het toestel krijgt in de Benelux een verkoopadviesprijs van 229 euro. Het toestel is gericht op het instap segment en komt qua specificaties in grote lijnen overeen met de Lumia 550 van Microsoft.

Microsoft announces official end of Windows 10 Mobile

Microsoft will no continue developing new features or hardware for Windows 10 Mobile, according to a series of tweets from head of operating systems Joe Belfiore. The operating system has been placed into servicing mode, with bug fixes and security updates for existing users.
