Yahoo! acquired of personalised recommendation company Jybe, whose app allowed users "to find things they love to do based on what's trending in their social circles", announced the senior vide president of Yahoo's cloud platform group on a company blog. As part of the acquisition, Jybe's key team members of five former Yahoo employees are coming back to the company, led by Arnab Bhattacharjee, once vice president of Yahoo! Search Technology. The others are Tim Converse, Christian Kunz, Sameer Paranjpye and Karthik Krishnamurthy. The Jybe app has been closed. Rossiter said of the team "We're confident that their data- and science-driven experience will supercharge our efforts to build great products and experiences for the millions of people who come to Yahoo! every day". The acquisition's terms were not disclosed.
