ZTE agrees to license Microsoft patents for Android devices
Microsoft announced that ZTE is the latest handset maker to sign a patent licence agreement with the software company. The licence to Microsoft's worldwide patent portfolio covers ZTE phones, tablets, computers and other devices running Android and Chrome OS. Microsoft said some 80 percent of Android smartphones sold in the US and a majority of those sold worldwide are now covered under its licensing agreements. This is the company's 20th patent licence agreement with an Android devicemaker.
