The national innovation initiative Future Network Services (FNS) will be featured at the Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, showcasing the Netherlands’ leading role in shaping the 6G era and the creation of earning capacity for the Dutch economy. Bringing together over 60 partners from industry, academia, and technology, FNS aims to secure a strong international position for the Netherlands in the development of next-generation mobile networks.
FNS focuses on three strategic pillars: software-defined antennas, AI-driven network software, and groundbreaking 6G applications. These areas form the foundation for a new era of mobile connectivity that is more secure, reliable, and sustainable. By fostering collaboration among ICT companies, mobile operators, semiconductor manufacturers, and research institutions, FNS contributes not only to technological progress but also to broader societal transitions in energy, mobility, and health.
