The Dutch deeptech company Whispp will present its latest generation real-time voice AI at MWC Barcelona 2026, which converts whispered or impaired speech into the speaker’s clear, natural voice. The technology runs entirely on-device, with core processing running on-device in real-time, making the system suitable for privacy-sensitive applications and direct communication without latency.
Whispp primarily focuses on two domains: restoring a natural voice for people with voice impairments, and enabling discrete, silent communication in places where audible speech is undesirable or impossible. The core of the innovation is Whispp’s audio-to-audio voice reconstruction engine, proprietary technology that reconstructs whispered speech as if the user were speaking normally. Whispp’s technology is designed for communication experiences where clarity, privacy, and accessibility matter. The solution supports use cases such as accessible calling for people with a voice condition, and private, discreet calling by whispering.
Pilot with Qualcomm
The company is currently working on a pilot with Qualcomm, which will be completed by MWC. During the fair, Whispp aims to engage actively with PC and smartphone OEMs to explore collaborations and licensing opportunities. At MWC, Whispp is looking to connect with business development, partnerships, and product teams focused on voice, calling, and communication, including mobile and device manufacturers, telecom and platform providers, and teams exploring integration of on-device voice AI into hardware or software solutions. The company sees particular potential in markets where adoption of voice AI and on-device AI is growing rapidly.
