Russian operators launch 5G in major cities
Russian mobile operators MTS, Beeline, Megafon and T2 have launched 5G services in major cities. MTS said that its 5G services are available on the 4.9 MHz band in Moscow, St Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg and Ufa with speeds up to 1.5 Gbps. The operator is also launching 5G services on the 2,100 MHz band, earlier used for LTE, in 16 cities, including the cities above, as well as in Kazan, Krasnodar, Novorossiysk, Vologda, Murmansk, Petrozavodsk, Syktyvkar, Pskov, Anapa, Velikiye-Liki and Ukhta.
