BeIN extends Wimbledon MENA broadcast rights through 2030

BeIN Media Group announced a five-year extension of its broadcast partnership with the All England Lawn Tennis Club. The deal secures exclusive rights to The Championships, Wimbledon tennis tournament across 24 Middle East and North Africa (MENA) territories until 2030. BeIN Sports will provide exclusive, live coverage of the championships across the MENA region. Fans can stream every match live or on-demand using TOD by BeIN or BeIN Connect on any device.

O2 Spain (Telefonica) has announced that the free cloud storage service it launched in 2023 for convergent customers is increasing its capacity from 1 TB to 10 TB at no extra charge. Samsung has announced the launch of the Samsung Galaxy XR headset in the UK, with the device available online at Samsung.com/UK from 08 July and from select Samsung Experience Stores later in July. Telenor Sweden says Ericsson will now become the first customer to take up its new 5G Laptop Connect service. Ericsson first mentioned the deal in early March, saying it would deploy 5,000 devices at its Stockholm HQ. The UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has announced two new conduct requirements for Google search services in the UK. Introduced as part of the Digital Markets Competition Regime, the first requirement will ensure fair ranking of search results for businesses; with the second requiring Google to let users port search data into authorised third parties such as rewards platforms. The board of commissioners of the Liberia Telecommunications Authority (LTA) have signed its 2026 performance contract, establishing clear frameworks for institutional accountability to the Liberian government and citizens.
