Dutch broadband market grows to 5.59 mln, fuelled by cable

For the first time since 2002, Dutch cable internet operators added more new broadband customers than ADSL ISPs. BBned focuses on fibre

Dutch internet provider BBned is to announce two other fibre optic network deals before the end of this year. Recently, Bbned won a European tender to manage a fibre optic network that is to be rolled out in Amsterdam. OPTA approves KPN's tariff proposal for calls to BBned

Dutch telcom regulator OPTA has approved a tariff proposal from KPN for calls from KPN's fixed network to geographic numbers on BBned's network. KPN is also introducing new tariffs for VoDSL connections. The new tariffs are effective per 1 November. Local, peak hour calls are EUR 0.0318 per minute, off-peak calls are charged at EUR 0.0168 and at night and weekends the calls cost EUR 0.0121.
