The total Dutch consumer telephony market grew by 0.1 percent during the first quarter of 2007 to 6.017 million, despite a 7.1 percent drop in PSTN/ISDN connections to 3.9 million. However, Dutch consumer VoIP subscriptions went up by more than 17 percent to 2.1 million, reaching the two million milestone during the quarter. The DSL VoIP customer base passed the 1 million market during the first quarter, growing more than 20 percent. The number of cable VoIP customers increased by 13.8 percent to almost 1 million (993,000) users on 31 March 2007.
