Despite difficult economic conditions, the Dutch mobile communication services market kept good pace in 2003 and grew 14% to EUR 5.4 billion, up EUR 0.7 billion from EUR 4.7 bn in 2002 and broadly in line with our estimates and consensus. The first six months of 2003 already looked promising, and generated EUR 2.6 billion in service revenues. Revenues in the second half were even stronger and up 9% for a total EUR 2.8 billion. Mobile Customer Base up 11% to 13.1 million at the end of 2003. Growth in the mobile customer base already showed signs of picking up vis-à-vis 2002 only to accelerate in the second half to end with 13.1 million active mobile customers, up from 11.8 million a year before.
