The report ‘Dutch Tablet Users Q2 2014’ provides extensive information on the tablet market in the Netherlands. The Telecompaper Consumer Panel has measured tablet penetration in households since Q3 2010. In April 2011 detailed questions about usage were added to the panel.

In October 2013 new questions were added which resulted in a renewed report with more emphasis on purchase, installed base, usage and NPS. Graphs are split to most used brand (Acer, Apple, Asus, Samsung and Yarvik) and model (i.e. Galaxy Tab 3, iPad 2 and Transformer Pad). The report discusses the following chapters:

  • Tablet penetration
  • Socio demographics
  • Installed base
  • Purchase intentions and reasons
  • Usage
  • NPS
  • Related customer devices

For the Telecompaper Consumer panel, at least 2,000 consumers are asked on a monthly basis about their use of mobile telephony, broadband connections, fixed telephony and TV, including details over their current situation, purchasing habits, usage and churn. Results are CBS stratified for gender, education and age (12- 80).
