The volatility of the Dutch FTTH market warrants an interim update to our annual FTTH report (most recent edition: 1 July 2011). In this Research Brief, we discuss the current state of the market, consolidation led by KPN and CIF and other issues dominating the market at present. We also refer to our FTTH database and map, to which access is available by subscription.

Vodafone NL vs. T-Mobile NL

In this Research Brief we make a comparison of the Dutch activities of Vodafone and Deutsche Telekom. On previous occasions, we compared KPN's Dutch Telco and Tele2 Netherlands, as well as UPC Netherlands and Ziggo. Vodafone is the larger of the two, showing superior financial metrics. T-Mobile has stopped its base eroding, and both are now gaining ground on KPN. Usage is higher at Vodafone and less sensitive to the advance of communication apps.
