Data service revenues in the Netherlands are still limited with a share of less than 5 percent of total mobile revenues, indicating that Dutch consumers have no interest in mobile data as yet. However, mobile internet take-up is increasing, fuelled by affordable flat rates, handsets, and HSDPA availability. With the success of the T-Mobile pocket internet subscription, Vodafone and KPN copied this offer, with Vodafone forced to offer the least attractive usage policy for the customer.
