Spanish mobile market revenues fall 6.2% in 2011
Spanish mobile operator service revenues reached EUR 15.1 billion in 2011, down 6.2 percent year-on-year, according to a report from independent market researcher Telecompaper. The decline was mainly due to decreasing voice revenues, impacted by lower mobile termination rates, increased competition, and the weak economy, contributing to lower consumption. Non-voice services, including SMS and data, continued to grow, reaching 24 percent of total service revenues versus 20 percent in 2010. The report further
