UPC NL hits record sales growth in Q3 as RGUs decline
UPC Netherlands lost 21,100 customers in the third quarter, reaching a new total of 1.76 million. The total number of services sold (RGU: revenue generating units) declined on a quarterly basis by 3,200 to 3,680,000. The decline was attributed to the loss of analogue TV subscribers (by 30700 to 694200), not fully offset by gains at other services. Digital TV added 9400 (to 1.07 million), while broadband added 9500 broadband (to 1.13 million) and telephony 8,600 (to 910,200). UPC noted that gains at narrowed
