AH to go will test payment without cash register

Friday 7 July 2017 | 15:09 CET | Author: Bart Garvelink | Background
Albert Heijn wants to test with stores without a cash register, Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf reported. Next year, several AH to Go stores will be converted and fitted with a system where users can pay for items without using a cash register. Albert Heijn will test the technology in To Go stores where time at checkout matters most. Albert Heijn has already launched a separate app for AH to go. The app has no payment option, but that could be the next step, possibly via QR codes.
