Belgian market Q2: no growth at top 3 operators while capex rises to 23% of revenue

The top three operators in the Belgian market - Proximus, Telenet and Orange - generated combined sales of EUR 2.046 billion in the second quarter, little changed (+0.1%) from a year earlier. Cost reductions helped the collective EBITDA margin increase by 0.4 percent points to 40.0 percent. Capital expenditure rose to EUR 479 million (23.4% of revenue, 3 points more than year ago), leading to a drop in free cash flow to EUR 340 million (16.6% of revenue).
