Belgian mobile market shows signs of improvement, but future uncertain with possible Base sale

The Belgian mobile market is showing small signs of improvement, after the decreases in revenues and customers slowed in 2014. At the end of 2014, there were just under 13 million active SIMs in Belgium, a drop of only 8,000 compared to a year earlier. In the fourth quarter of 2014, a net 3,000 customers were gained. Across both periods, prepaid customers were lost and postpaid customers added. Postpaid customers accounted for 60.1 percent of all customers at the end of 2014, up from 57.9 percent at the end of 2013
