Duopoly on British wholesale market looms if mergers approved and Vodafone withdraws

UK supermarket chain Sainsbury's announced that it will cease its mobile activities by January 2016 as it could not agree on a future vision for Mobile by Sainsbury's with wholesale partner Vodafone. MVNO TalkTalk announced at the end of 2014 that it would change from Vodafone to the O2 network by the end of 2015 and said that Vodafone had terminated its agreement without warning. Vodafone has so far denied it will exit the wholesale market.
