Ericsson promises extra value for telcos on the way to 5G

While many see 5G as several years down the road yet, there are already opportunities for mobile operators to deploy new technologies and develop new sources of revenue, according to Ericsson. The company discussed the possibilities at its annual Customer Innovation Days, held recently in Aachen, Germany. The event showed some of the new functions and ideas possible thanks to the evolution of core networks to 5G.
