Eurofiber, M7 next candidates for Dutch market consolidation

Private equity has a long history in the telecom sector, including in the Dutch market. Prior to its stock market listing, Ziggo was owned by private equity firms, and Eurofiber, M7 Groep and Tele2 still count private equity as investors. Now that Reggefiber is being taken over by KPN and Ziggo is becoming part of Liberty Global, we have a new category of businesses with private equity investors that are in line for further consolidation.
